freebies statistics

The statistics back up the fact that people can’t resist free offers and deals. None of us can refuse a good freebee when we see it, but what is amazing is the number of people actively looking on the internet to find .

The internet has become the biggest source of freebies. The number of searches every day for the word free is a staggering 47,124,202. That’s nearly 50 million searches for something free. And that’s every day!!

The number of personal computers in the world was estimated in June 2008 to be over 1,000,000,000. That’s 1 BILLION. So, if each search for free represents a different person on each occasion, then one in every 21 owners of a PC is searching for something free online. Now I know it’s not quite like thaat but it certainly shows the scale of ambition to hunt down something for free.

Now it was estimated in 2008 that there are some 6,692,030,277 people in the world. (That’s quite a precise estimate, by the way!!) So it would appear that 1 in 6.7 people in the world have a PC. Now again one shouldn’t take averages like this but it illustrates a point.

So dividing the numbers, it also means that 1 in every 6.7 people in the world who has a PC is looking for freebies stuff online. Every Day. Or to put it another way, 1 in 45 people in the world are searching for freebies stuff online every day. Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow.

To make it easier for them we have created a for freebies stuff. Give it a try here and now by entering in the box below just the type of thing you are looking for; e.g. cameras

Go on, it’s that easy.
